The camp was built by a man delivered by Dr. Miller (Grandfather of Donald D. "Pete" Miller).

The camp, next to a spring on a hill, had a coal fired range, running water, and full plumbing.

David Miller was stabbed and killed in a bar fight. The killer was the last man hung in Clearfield County. (The killer was John Keeler (?), hung on January 15, 1914.
